Peanut Butter Powder Smoothie

Peanut Butter Powder Smoothie - recipe card

This creamy, protein-packed smoothie combines powdered peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and frozen banana for a thick, milkshake-like texture without the heavy fat of traditional peanut butter. Each serving delivers over 25 grams of protein and tastes like a decadent treat, making it perfect for breakfast, post-workout recovery, or a satisfying snack. The subtle sweetness from honey and vanilla rounds out the rich peanut flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or skim milk)
  • 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup powdered peanut butter (PB2 or similar)
  • 2 medium bananas, frozen and cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup ice cubes (optional, for thicker texture)

Instructions

  1. Add the unsweetened almond milk, Greek yogurt, powdered peanut butter, frozen banana chunks, honey, vanilla extract, and fine sea salt to the pitcher of a high-speed blender.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on low speed for 15 seconds to combine the ingredients, then increase to high speed and blend for 45-60 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If using ice cubes, add them now and blend for an additional 30 seconds until no ice chunks remain.
  3. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed. Blend again for 10 seconds to ensure everything is incorporated.
  4. Pour the smoothie into 4 glasses (about 1 cup each) and serve immediately. For a thicker consistency, let the smoothie sit for 2-3 minutes before serving; it will thicken slightly as the frozen banana melts.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of powdered peanut butter or a few banana slices, if desired.

Notes

Storage: Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir well before drinking. Freezing: Pour into ice cube trays or a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months. To reblend, thaw slightly and blend with a splash of milk until smooth. Reheating: Not recommended; enjoy cold. Protein Boost: For an extra 10-15g protein per serving, add 1 scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder. Adjust liquid as needed for desired consistency.
