This Privacy Policy describes how the High Protein Recipes mobile application (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), published by Fernwell, handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Who We Are

High Protein Recipes is a recipe app that provides high-protein recipes, nutrition information, a servings adjuster, favorites, and a shopping list. The App is published by Fernwell and is supported by advertising.

Information We Collect

Information you provide: The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal contact information. We do not knowingly collect personal information that directly identifies you.

Information stored on your device: Your favorites and shopping list are saved locally on your device and tied to an anonymous, per-device identifier. This data stays on your device and in our backend service associated only with that anonymous identifier — it is not linked to your real-world identity.

Information collected automatically: When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically by our third-party service providers, including:

  • A device advertising identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID)
  • Approximate, non-precise device and usage information (such as device type, operating system version, and app interaction data)
  • IP address (used by ad and infrastructure providers)

This information is primarily used to serve ads and to keep the App functioning.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

  • Provide and maintain the App’s features (recipes, favorites, shopping list)
  • Display advertisements that help keep the App free
  • Understand general usage to improve the App
  • Maintain the security and stability of the App

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google may use device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, and app activity to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

Locally stored data (favorites and shopping list) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous, per-device data stored in our backend is retained only as long as needed to provide App functionality.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.

Your Choices

  • You can reset or limit your advertising identifier through your device settings (see “Advertising” above).
  • You can clear locally stored data by clearing the App’s data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

The App may be used in various countries. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed by our service providers in countries other than your own, in accordance with their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
